Description

Leased from the US Forest Service beginning in 1961, Camp Lee Canyon is Clark County Parks and Recreation’s only resident camp and hosts a number of camps throughout the year. Located in the Toiyabe National Forest and only 45 minutes from downtown Las Vegas, the 17-acre camp was originally constructed in 1936 by the federal Works Progress Administration. Due to its historic origins, the camp is on the National List of Historic Places. The camp has seven cabins, offering sleeping accommodations for 145, a recreation hall with fireplace, dining hall with full kitchen, outdoor dance floor, nurses’ quarters, central bathrooms with showers, archery range, campfire amphitheater, outdoor picnic areas and sports courts. The camp is also home of the Camp Lee Canyon Challenge Course, featuring high and low ROPES courses. If you are interested in a cool respite from the summer heat, in an alpine forest that is always 30 degrees cooler than the Valley below, book your group reservation for Camp Lee Canyon!
